Set a Player to a Specific Rank

Assigning Exact Ranks

Sometimes you need to move a player directly to a specific rank rather than promoting or demoting them step-by-step. The set action handles this.

How to Set a Rank

1. Place a sign in your world

2. Write [PowerRanks] on the first line

3. Write set on the second line

4. Write the exact rank name on the third line (for example: Admin, VIP, Helper)

5. Right-click the sign as the player you want to change

The player will instantly move to that rank, regardless of what rank they had before. Their name color, chat color, and prefix all update immediately.

Make sure you spell the rank name exactly as it appears in your configuration—rank names are case-sensitive. This action is useful for correcting mistakes, moving staff members between departments, or setting new players to a specific starting rank. You can create different set signs for different ranks around your server.
