Using Signs to Promote Players

Promoting players rewards active community members and gives them visible status in chat. The sign-based system makes it quick and accessible.

How to Promote

1. Place a sign anywhere in your world

2. Write [PowerRanks] on the first line

3. Write promote on the second line

4. Leave the third line blank or add a note about what the sign does

5. Right-click the sign as the player you want to promote

The player will move up to the next rank in your hierarchy. Their name color and prefix will update instantly in chat so everyone sees their new status.

You can create multiple promotion signs around your server—one near spawn, one in a staff area, or one in a special location. Each sign works the same way. If you want to promote someone to a *specific* rank instead of just the next one, use the set action instead: write set on line two and the rank name on line three.
