Power Armor Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I put on power armor?
Place an armor piece on the ground, power it with redstone blocks, then right-click on the back of the suit to enter it. You'll know it's powered when it activates.
Why can't I craft power armor like normal armor?
Power Armor is a special system that requires you to place pieces on the ground and power them with redstone before wearing. This is by design to make the armor feel more like a mechanical suit you're entering rather than equipping.
Do I need all the armor pieces or can I wear just one?
You can wear individual pieces, but each additional piece you add will boost your stats further, so wearing a complete set is more powerful than wearing just one or two pieces.
How do I get out of the power armor?
Look straight down and sneak (hold shift by default) to exit the suit. Your armor will stay on the ground where you left it.
What happens to my power armor when I die?
Your powered armor suit will be placed on the ground at the spot where you died, and any remaining redstone power will stay in it for your next use.
Can I use regular Minecraft armor trims on power armor?
Yes, you can add any vanilla or modded armor trims to your power armor pieces to customize their appearance without affecting their functionality.
How do I find the crafting recipes?
Open your crafting table and check the recipe book—all Power Armor Mod recipes are listed there. You can also use `/function give:[item_name]` to obtain items directly.
Do I need to power up my armor every time I use it?
No, unused redstone power remains in the suit between uses, so you only need to add more redstone when the power runs out.
Can I move powered armor around or does it stay in place?
Once powered and entered, the armor stays in place where you put it. You'll need to exit and move the pieces manually if you want to relocate your suit.
Does this mod work with other armor mods?
Power Armor is a standalone system separate from regular armor, so it won't conflict with other armor mods, though compatibility depends on your specific mod combination.
