Understanding Sherds

Sherds are decorative items that add visual patterns to your pots. They work independently of pot color, allowing you to layer both color and pattern for unique designs.

Applying Patterns

Once you have a pot placed in the world and a sherd in your inventory:

1. Hold the sherd in your hand

2. Right-click on the pot you want to decorate

3. The pattern from the sherd will appear on the pot's surface

You can apply different sherds to the same pot to create varied designs. Experiment with different sherd types to discover which patterns work best with your chosen pot color. The patterns are purely decorative and don't affect the pot's functionality—they're purely for aesthetic customization of your builds.
