Distinguishing Potion Types by Their Glint
Understanding the Visual Difference
While all potion bottles now have the enchantment glint effect, you can still identify potion types by their base texture color beneath the glint. The glint itself is the same rainbow shimmer across all potions, but the underlying bottle color tells you what's inside.
Identifying Potions
1. Look at the Base Color: Ignore the animated glint overlay and focus on the potion's main color—red for healing, blue for water breathing, purple for strength, etc.
2. Check Bottle Type: Regular bottles, splash potions (with a cork), and lingering potions (with swirling particles) each have distinct shapes that help identification.
3. Use Tooltips: Hover your cursor over potions in your inventory to see their exact name and effects.
Practical Tips
Organize your potions by type in separate chests or inventory slots. The glint effect makes all potions visually similar at a glance, so color-coding storage helps you grab the right potion quickly during combat or emergencies.
