Potions Re-Glint Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing the mod or does it work automatically?
The mod works automatically once installed—potion bottles will display the enchantment glint effect without any configuration needed. Simply load your world and the glint will appear on all potion types.
Will the glint effect show on potions I already have in my inventory?
Yes, the glint effect applies to all potion bottles in your world, including ones already in your inventory, chests, or anywhere else they exist.
Does this mod affect splash potions and lingering potions too?
Yes, the mod restores the glint effect to splash potions and lingering potions as well as regular potion bottles, matching the pre-1.19.4 appearance.
Can I tell different potion types apart by looking at the glint?
The glint effect is the same animated shimmer across all potion types—you still need to look at the potion color or hover over it to see what type it is, as the glint alone doesn't distinguish between them.
Does the mod work with custom potions or modded potions?
The mod applies the glint effect to standard potion bottles; compatibility with other potion-adding mods depends on how those mods implement their potions, but most should work fine.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The glint effect is a simple visual overlay and should have negligible performance impact, even with many potions visible at once.
Why can't I see the glint effect on my potions?
Check that the mod is properly installed and loaded in your mod folder, and verify that your graphics settings aren't set to the lowest quality, which might disable visual effects like glints.
Does this mod change how potions function or just their appearance?
This mod only changes the visual appearance of potion bottles—it does not alter potion effects, duration, or any gameplay mechanics.
Can I disable the glint effect if I don't want it?
Simply remove the mod from your mod folder to disable the glint effect and return to the default appearance.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
This is a client-side visual mod, so you can use it on any server without needing the server to have it installed—only you will see the glint effect.
