Potion Stacking Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do potions stack automatically or do I need to do something?
Potions stack automatically once the mod is installed—you don't need to craft anything or enable a setting. Simply pick up multiple potions of the same type and they will combine into a single stack up to sixteen.
Can I stack different potion types together?
No, only potions of the exact same type and effect level stack together. A Potion of Strength and a Potion of Speed will remain separate, as will a regular potion and an extended-duration variant.
What happens if I drink from a stacked potion?
When you drink from a stack, one potion is consumed and the stack count decreases by one. The remaining potions stay stacked in your inventory.
Do splash and lingering potions stack too?
Yes, all potion variants including splash potions and lingering potions can be stacked up to sixteen, as long as they are the same type.
Can I throw stacked potions or do I need to separate them first?
You can throw potions directly from a stack—one potion will be thrown and the stack count will decrease. You don't need to separate them.
Do stacked potions work in brewing stands or cauldrons?
Stacked potions can be placed in brewing stands and cauldrons normally. The stack will be consumed one potion at a time as needed for brewing or filling.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Potion Stacking Mod is lightweight and should not cause noticeable performance issues. It only changes how potions are stored, not how they function.
Does this mod work with other mods that add custom potions?
Yes, the mod applies stacking to all potions in the game, including those added by other mods, as long as they use the standard potion system.
Can I change the stack limit from sixteen to something else?
Stack limits are fixed at sixteen per the mod's design and cannot be adjusted through normal gameplay settings.
Do potions stay stacked when I drop them or put them in a chest?
Yes, potions remain stacked when dropped on the ground or placed in containers like chests, furnaces, or hoppers.
