Potion Counter Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the potion counter overlay to show up?
The overlay appears automatically once you have potions in your inventory, so you don't need to enable anything to start. If you don't see it, make sure you're actually carrying potions and that the HUD hasn't been moved off-screen.
Does the potion counter count potions in my inventory or just my hotbar?
It counts the potions you're carrying so you can see your remaining supply at a glance without opening your inventory. This is the whole point of the mod, since potions can't be stacked and you often split them between hotbar and inventory.
How do I move the potion counter HUD to a different position?
Install the Ukulib library mod alongside this mod, then open the in-game config to drag or set the HUD position. This lets you place the counter wherever it's least obtrusive on your screen.
How can I tell if a potion is upgraded with redstone or glowstone?
The mod highlights upgraded potions so you can distinguish them at a glance. Redstone-extended and glowstone-amplified versions are visually marked differently from the base potion.
Can I configure the mod without leaving the game?
Yes, the configurable features can be changed in-game by installing the Ukulib library mod alongside this mod. That gives you access to the settings menu without editing files manually.
Why isn't the potion counter showing all my potions?
The counter tracks potions in your inventory, so potions stored in chests, shulker boxes, or dropped on the ground won't be counted. Make sure the potions are actually in your inventory slots.
Does this mod work with other HUD mods?
It's designed to sit alongside other HUD elements, and you can reposition it via the config if it overlaps something. If two mods fight over the same screen area, moving the potion counter usually resolves it.
Will the potion counter hurt my performance or FPS?
It's a lightweight HUD overlay that just reads your inventory contents, so it shouldn't have a noticeable impact on performance. If you do see issues, check for conflicts with other HUD or inventory mods.
Do I need Ukulib for this mod to work?
The core overlay works without it, but you need Ukulib to access the in-game configuration options. If you want to customize the HUD position or other settings, install Ukulib.
Does the potion counter work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, it's a client-side HUD mod, so it works on servers as long as the server allows client-side mods. It only reads information your client already has about your own inventory.
