Potion Bar Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the potion bar to show up?
Simply drink any potion in-game and the bar will automatically appear on your screen. If you don't see it, check that the mod is properly installed and try typing /potionbar position center to reset it to the default location.
Can I move the potion bar to a different spot on my screen?
Yes, use /potionbar position [center/left/right/custom]. The custom option opens a screen editor where you can click and drag the bar to place it exactly where you want it.
Why am I seeing potion effects I don't want tracked?
You're probably seeing vanilla game effects like Hunger or Mining Fatigue. Use /potionbar vanillaEffects hide to remove standard effects from the bar and only show potion-based effects.
How do I add a timer showing seconds remaining?
Type /potionbar timer on to enable the timer display. You can also use /potionbar timer [left/right/above/below] to move the timer around the potion icon.
Does the mod work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, Potion Bar Mod is client-side only, so it works on any multiplayer server without requiring the server to have it installed.
Can I change the colors of the progress bars?
The mod automatically colors each bar to match the type of potion effect, but you can toggle between custom textures and vanilla game textures using /potionbar CustomIcons [on/off].
What if the bar is covering important parts of my HUD?
Use /potionbar position custom to open the editor and drag the bar to a location that doesn't interfere with your hotbar, health, or other UI elements.
Does the mod show how many seconds are left on my potion?
Yes, if you enable the timer with /potionbar timer on, it will display the exact number of seconds remaining next to the progress bar.
Can I track multiple potion effects at the same time?
Yes, the mod displays all active potion effects with separate bars and icons, making it easy to monitor multiple effects simultaneously.
Will this mod affect my game performance?
No, Potion Bar Mod is lightweight and runs entirely on your client side, so it has minimal impact on performance even on multiplayer servers.
