Relinking the Compass

The Portal Linking Compass can be reused for multiple portal pairs. To link it to a different portal, simply right-click on a portal block in another location. The compass will forget the previous link and connect to the new portal.

Managing Multiple Portals

1. Link the compass to your first Overworld portal and build its Nether pair

2. Once that pair is complete and working, right-click the compass on a *different* Overworld portal

3. Travel to the Nether and follow the compass to build the second linked pair

4. Repeat this process for as many portal pairs as you need

Organization Tips

Consider labeling your portals or keeping notes about which portals are linked to which. This prevents confusion when managing multiple portal networks. You can also use the compass to verify existing portal locations by linking it and checking if the coordinates match where you built them.
