How to Configure Motion Blur Strength in PolyBlur
Finding the Motion Blur Option
PolyBlur includes a motion blur effect separate from its GUI background blur. To configure it, open the OneConfig menu and navigate to the PolyBlur settings section. Look for the motion blur strength slider, which is distinct from the GUI blur strength slider. These two controls are independent: changing one does not affect the other, so you can have a heavily blurred GUI background while keeping
camera motion blur light, or the reverse.
Tuning the Effect
Drag the motion blur slider to set how much trailing blur appears when you move or turn the
camera. Lower values produce a subtle smear during fast movement, while higher values create a more pronounced cinematic trail. Because the effect is most visible while moving, test it by sprinting or spinning the
camera quickly after each adjustment. If the effect feels disorienting, reduce the strength; if it is barely noticeable, increase it. There is no need to restart the game — the slider applies immediately.
When Motion Blur Looks Stuck
If motion blur seems frozen or does not update after you change your resolution or switch perspective, the framebuffer may not have refreshed. Change your GUI scale or toggle fullscreen to force a rebuild, then re-test by moving the
camera. If the effect still misbehaves, toggle motion blur off and back on in the settings to reset its state.
