How to Change the Blur Strength in PolyBlur

Opening the Settings

PolyBlur's blur strength is controlled through OneConfig, the config library the mod uses. Open your OneConfig menu using its assigned keybind (by default this is typically accessed from the mods list or a dedicated key you can set in Controls). Once inside, locate the PolyBlur section in the mod list on the left side. All of PolyBlur's adjustable options live here rather than in a separate config file you need to edit by hand.

Adjusting the Blur

Inside the PolyBlur settings you will find a slider for blur strength. Drag it to increase or decrease how heavily the background of GUIs is blurred. Lower values give a subtle softening behind menus, while higher values produce a stronger frosted-glass effect. Changes apply live, so you can open a chest or your inventory and watch the background update as you move the slider. If you also see a motion blur strength option, that is a separate slider controlling blur during camera movement — adjust it independently from the GUI blur.

If the Blur Looks Wrong

If the background is not blurring at all, make sure the shader option is enabled in the same menu. If blur appears frozen or stale after you resize your window or change your perspective (first-person to third-person), the mod normally resets blur automatically on perspective change; if it still looks stuck, toggle the blur off and back on to force a refresh.
