Poke Loot Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to start a new world to use this pack?
Yes, for best results you should load the pack when first creating your world so capsules generate everywhere. If you add it to an existing world, capsules will only appear in chunks you haven't visited yet.
How do I find Poke Loot capsules?
Explore your world and look for Poke Ball-shaped capsules sitting on the ground. The pack displays particles around capsules to help you spot them, and you can toggle this in the options menu.
What do I get from opening a capsule?
You'll receive Cobblemon items like Ultra Balls, Max Revives, Full Heals, and other catching and battle items depending on which type of capsule you open.
Can I make capsules refill or should they be one-time only?
You can choose either behavior using the `/trigger PLOptions` command, which opens a menu to toggle between one-time use and refillable capsules. By default, capsules refill after one hour.
How long does it take for an empty capsule to refill?
The default refill time is one hour, but you can change this with `/function pokeloot:pokeball_change_timer` or reset it to default with `/function pokeloot:reset_timer`.
Can I spawn capsules in specific locations?
Yes, use `/function pokeloot:give_pokeball_spawner` to get an armor stand you can place anywhere as a custom loot spawn point. You can also use the spawn commands to place 20 capsules around your current location.
What's the difference between the spawn commands?
Each command spawns a different capsule type: `/function pokeloot:spawn_pokeballs` for normal Poke Balls, `/function pokeloot:spawn_greatballs` for Great Balls, and `/function pokeloot:spawn_ultraballs` for Ultra Balls. All spawn 20 capsules near you.
How do I remove capsules from my world?
Use `/function pokeloot:kill_pokeloots` to remove all capsules in your area, or `/function pokeloot:uninstall` to completely remove the pack and clean up your entire world.
Will this pack cause lag or performance issues?
The pack is designed to be lightweight, but performance depends on how many capsules you spawn and your server settings. You can reduce lag by limiting the number of active capsules or adjusting refill timers.
Does this work with other Cobblemon mods and datapacks?
Poke Loot is designed to work alongside Cobblemon, but compatibility with other datapacks depends on whether they modify the same game mechanics. Test it in your world or check mod documentation if you're using multiple packs together.
