Execute Commands While Inventory is Open

You can run slash commands directly through the chat widget without closing your inventory menu. This is useful for teleporting, changing game modes, or triggering server functions while managing gear.

Steps

1. Open your inventory

2. Press Tab to focus the chat widget text box

3. Type your command exactly as you would in normal chat — start with a forward slash /

4. Press Enter to execute the command

5. The command will run immediately, and you'll stay in your inventory

Examples

• /tp @s x y z — teleport yourself while sorting items
• /gamemode creative — switch game modes without closing your bag
• /give @s item_name — give yourself items while organizing
• Any server command your rank allows

Tips

• Command syntax and permissions work exactly the same as in regular chat
• If a command fails, check your spelling and permissions — error messages appear in chat
• This is especially useful on servers where you need quick access to commands while building or managing inventory
