How to Make Players Only Drop Heads From PvP Kills

Why Restrict Head Drops to PvP

By default, every player death drops a head. On a PvP server, you may want heads to be a trophy earned only through combat, not from someone falling into lava or getting blown up by a creeper. The mod lets you separate these categories.

Configuring the Three Categories

Open the mod's config file in your config/ folder. You will find three chance settings:

1. PvP kills — set this to 1.0 so heads always drop when a player kills another player.

2. Charged creeper kills — set this to 0.0 so charged creeper deaths do not produce heads.

3. All other deaths — set this to 0.0 so environmental and mob deaths do not produce heads.

Save the file and restart the server or client. Now the only way to obtain a player head is by killing that player directly in combat.

Verifying It Works

Have two players test on your server: one kills the other in PvP and confirms a head drops. Then have a player die to fall damage or a mob and confirm no head drops. If results are wrong, double-check that you edited the correct config file and that the values are decimals, not whole numbers.
