How to Fix Player Heads Not Dropping in Players Drop Heads Mod

Check the Config Values First

The most common cause of missing head drops is a config value set to 0.0 or a very low number. Open the mod's config file in your config/ folder and verify all three categories:

• PvP kills
• Charged creeper kills
• All other deaths

If the relevant category is 0.0, no head will ever drop for that death type. Set it to 1.0 for guaranteed drops, or a value in between for chance-based drops. Save and restart.

Confirm the Death Category

If PvP drops are enabled but a player died to a mob, no head will drop unless the "all other deaths" category is also above zero. Make sure you are testing the correct death type. A charged creeper kill is its own category and will not count as a normal creeper kill.

Mod Conflicts and Server Sync

If configs look correct but heads still do not drop, check for other mods that alter player death drops or loot tables — they can override this mod. On a server, the config must be set on the server side; client-side config changes do nothing for multiplayer. Also confirm the mod is actually loaded by checking the mod list. If the mod is missing, no heads will drop regardless of settings.
