Setting Up Your Team So Revives Actually Work

Assign Roles Before You Explore

PlayerRevive rewards coordination, so decide who plays what before heading out. A common setup: one player pushes ahead as scout, one stays mid-range as the designated rescuer, and everyone carries enough gear to survive a solo trip back. The rescuer's job is to break off the moment someone goes down, not finish the fight.

Positioning and Communication

Stay within a distance you can sprint in under the bleed-out timer. In caves, leapfrog so someone is always within a short run of the front. Use voice chat or a shared chat channel and call out:

  • When you're going down and where.
  • When you're moving to revive.
  • When the area is clear or still hostile.

Don't Stack the Whole Team on One Down

If two players go down at once, you can only revive one at a time. Decide who gets saved first based on who has the gear to stabilize the situation. Reviving the tank so they can clear mobs often beats saving the person with the most loot.

Base-Side Prep

Keep beds, spare armor, and food near the respawn point. If a revive fails, the recovered player can re-gear fast and help recover the dropped inventory. Treat every down as a signal to slow down and reassess the route.
