PlayerRevive Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I revive a downed player in PlayerRevive?
Walk up to the bleeding player's body and hold the use key on them until the revive completes. You need to stay close and keep holding — letting go interrupts the process, so clear the area first or have someone cover you.
How long do I have to save someone before they die?
The bleed-out timer is roughly one minute from the moment they go down. If nobody reaches them and finishes the revive before it expires, the death resolves normally and their items drop.
Can a downed player still move or fight?
No. While downed you're stuck on the ground and can't walk, attack, or use items, so you're fully dependent on a teammate reaching you. This is why rescues mean someone has to break off from the fight and cross the danger.
What happens to my items if I bleed out?
If the timer runs out before anyone revives you, the death goes through as a normal death and your items drop where you fell. Getting revived in time prevents that drop entirely.
Does PlayerRevive work in singleplayer?
The mod is built around another player reaching you, so in singleplayer there's no one to perform the revive and a down just becomes a normal death. It's designed for multiplayer or co-op worlds where a teammate can respond.
Why can't my teammate revive me even though they're standing next to me?
Make sure they're holding the use key on your body rather than just tapping it, and that they're close enough to register the interaction. If revives still fail, check that you're both on the same team setup the mod expects.
How do I set up teams so revives actually work?
Players need to be grouped as teammates for the revive interaction to count, so configure your team before heading into danger. Test a down-and-revive in a safe spot first to confirm everyone is properly linked.
Can I use PlayerRevive in a hardcore world?
Yes, and that's a common use case — the bleed-out window gives your team a chance to save a run that would otherwise end on one mistake. Just remember that if no one reaches you in time, the hardcore death still applies.
Does PlayerRevive conflict with other death or respawn mods?
Mods that change death handling, respawning, or inventory drops can overlap with PlayerRevive's bleed-out system and cause odd behavior. If deaths aren't behaving as expected, test with those mods removed to isolate the conflict.
Does PlayerRevive hurt server performance?
The mod only tracks downed states and timers for players, so its performance impact is minimal even on busy servers. Lag issues are far more likely to come from other mods or entity load than from PlayerRevive itself.
