PlayerKits 2 Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the kit menu?
Type `/kit` in chat to open the GUI where you can browse and claim available kits. If your server has enabled the short command option, you can also use `/kit ` to claim a kit directly.
Can I preview what's in a kit before I claim it?
Yes, the GUI shows a preview of all items and enchantments in each kit before you claim it, so you know exactly what you're getting.
Why can't I claim a kit I just used?
Kits have cooldowns configured by your server admin to prevent spam and balance gameplay; you'll need to wait until the cooldown expires before claiming the same kit again.
Do I need permission to use kits?
It depends on your server's configuration—admins can set up permission requirements for specific kits, so some may be restricted to certain player ranks or groups.
Can kits cost money?
Yes, if your server has integrated kits with an economy plugin, some kits may require in-game currency to claim instead of being free.
What happens if my inventory is full when I claim a kit?
Items from the kit will drop on the ground around you if there's no room in your inventory, so make sure you have space before claiming.
Can a kit only be claimed once?
Yes, server admins can configure kits as one-time-only rewards, but this depends on the individual kit's settings.
Why did my kit disappear after I claimed it?
If a kit is set as one-time-only or has a cooldown, it won't be available again until the cooldown expires or (if one-time) never—check with your server admin about that kit's configuration.
Can kits run commands when I claim them?
Yes, server admins can configure kits to execute custom commands automatically when you claim them, adding special effects or rewards beyond just items.
Does this plugin work on my server version?
PlayerKits 2 supports Minecraft versions from 1.8 to 1.21, so it should work on most modern and legacy servers—check with your admin if you're unsure about your specific version.
