Resolve Flight Ability Conflicts Between Mods

Understanding the Conflict

When multiple mods modify player flight abilities simultaneously, they often overwrite each other's changes. This causes flight to stop working unexpectedly, even though both mods are installed. PlayerAbilityLib prevents this by centralizing all ability modifications.

How PlayerAbilityLib Fixes This

Instead of mods directly editing the PlayerAbilities class, they register their flight requests through PlayerAbilityLib. The library tracks which mod enabled which ability and manages them all from one location.

What You Need to Do

1. Ensure all your flight-related mods (flight charms, jetpacks, magic systems, etc.) are updated to support PlayerAbilityLib

2. Install PlayerAbilityLib as a dependency

3. Launch the game—no configuration needed

4. Test your flight abilities; they should now work together without interrupting each other

If a flight mod hasn't been updated to use PlayerAbilityLib yet, contact the mod author to request compatibility. The library is designed to be transparent—you won't see it in-game, but your abilities will work reliably.
