Fix Spectator Mode Conflicts with Other Mods

The Spectator Problem

Spectator mode involves multiple player abilities: flight, no-clip, invisibility, and invulnerability. When mods independently modify these abilities, spectator mode can malfunction—you might sink through blocks, lose flight, or experience other glitches.

Why PlayerAbilityLib Helps

PlayerAbilityLib coordinates all ability changes so that spectator mode and other mods don't step on each other's toes. Each mod's ability request is tracked separately, preventing overwrites.

Resolving Spectator Issues

1. Verify PlayerAbilityLib is installed

2. Check that mods affecting player movement or visibility are updated to PlayerAbilityLib compatibility

3. Test spectator mode by entering it through your mod's command or interface

4. If you still sink or experience clipping, check mod compatibility—some older mods may need updates

If spectator mode works but other abilities (like flight from a jetpack) conflict with it, this indicates the mods aren't using PlayerAbilityLib yet. Report this to the mod authors so they can add support.
