Debug Ability Conflicts When Multiple Mods Interact

Identifying the Problem

When you have many mods that modify player abilities (flight, creative mode, spectator mode, invisibility, etc.), conflicts become hard to trace. An ability might work alone but fail when combined with others.

How to Diagnose

1. Test in isolation: Disable all mods except one ability-granting mod and verify it works

2. Add mods one at a time: Re-enable mods gradually and test after each addition to find which combination breaks

3. Check mod updates: Older mods may not support PlayerAbilityLib yet; update all mods to their latest versions

4. Review mod descriptions: Look for PlayerAbilityLib compatibility mentions in mod pages

Using PlayerAbilityLib Effectively

Once all your mods are updated to use PlayerAbilityLib, ability conflicts should disappear. The library handles the coordination automatically—you don't configure it.

If conflicts persist after updating, report the issue to the mod authors with details about which mods conflict and how. This helps developers prioritize PlayerAbilityLib support.
