Manage Particle Performance and Visibility

Turning Particles On and Off

You can toggle your own particles without removing them:

  • /playerparticles on – enables your particles
  • /playerparticles off – hides your particles (they remain saved)

This is useful when you want to temporarily see your character clearly or reduce visual clutter.

Disabling All Player Particles

If other players' particle effects are causing lag or visual confusion:

  • /playerparticles disable-all – stops rendering particles from all players (including yourself)
  • /playerparticles enable-all – resumes rendering all player particles

These commands only affect what *you* see—other players are unaffected and will still see their own particles.

Performance Tips

If you experience lag with particles enabled, try:

  • Using simpler particles like smoke instead of complex ones
  • Disabling particles in only one or two slots instead of all three
  • Using /playerparticles disable-all in crowded areas with many players
