Player Kits Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I save my first kit?
Arrange your inventory exactly how you want it (including hotbar and armor), then type `/kit store` and give your kit a name. The mod will save everything in your inventory at that moment.
Can I save multiple kits?
Yes, you can create as many kits as you need. Each kit is stored separately, so you might have one for terrain blocks, one for building materials, and one for decoration—then switch between them as needed.
What happens to my current inventory when I load a kit?
Loading a kit replaces your entire inventory with the saved kit's contents. If you want to keep your current items, save them as a kit first before loading a different one.
How do I see what's in a kit without loading it?
Use `/kit view [kit name]` to preview the contents of a kit before you equip it. This is useful if you have many kits and want to make sure you're loading the right one.
Can I share kits with other players on my server?
Yes, saved kits are stored persistently and can be accessed by other players on the same server or world. The exact sharing method depends on your server setup, but the kit data itself is shareable.
How do I delete a kit I don't need anymore?
Use `/kit remove [kit name]` to permanently delete a kit from your storage. Be careful—this action cannot be undone.
Do kits save if I restart the game?
Yes, all your saved kits persist across game restarts. The mod stores them locally so they'll be there whenever you load your world again.
Can I see a list of all my kits?
Type `/kit list` to display all the kits you've created. This is helpful when you have many kits and need to remember their exact names.
Does this mod work in Survival mode?
This mod is designed for Creative mode, where it's most useful for builders managing block palettes. It may not work as intended in Survival mode.
What if I accidentally load the wrong kit?
Load a different kit to replace your inventory, or if you saved your previous inventory as a kit, load that one back. Otherwise, you'll need to manually rebuild your inventory.
