Reading Health Levels from Heart Displays

Understanding the Heart System

The mod displays player health as a row of hearts above their head. Learning to read these quickly gives you crucial information during combat.

Heart Interpretation

1. Count the red hearts - Each heart represents a portion of a player's health. More hearts visible means the player has more health remaining.

2. Watch for changes - As players take damage, hearts disappear from right to left. This shows you in real-time how much damage you're dealing.

3. Assess threat level - A player with many hearts is a greater threat than one with few hearts remaining.

Combat Applications

  • Target priority - Focus fire on low-health players first to eliminate threats quickly.
  • Healing decisions - If your hearts are low and an opponent's are high, consider retreating to heal.
  • Finishing moves - When an opponent has very few hearts left, commit to finishing them before they escape.

Invisible Player Health

Remember that invisible players only show hearts if wearing armor. If you see floating hearts with no visible player, you've found an invisible opponent. Use this information to predict their movements and position yourself for combat.
