Do I need the original Player Health Indicators mod installed?
No. This mod replaces the original entirely, so you should only have this version installed. Running both mods together will cause conflicts.
Why can't I see health hearts above an invisible player?
Invisible players only show health hearts if they're wearing at least one piece of armor. If they've removed all their armor, their health remains completely hidden even with this mod.
How do I hide my own health when using an invisibility potion?
Take off all your armor pieces before drinking the invisibility potion. Once you're completely unarmored, your health hearts won't display to other players.
Can I see my own health hearts above my head?
No, health hearts only appear above other players. You'll still see your own health bar in the normal location on your screen.
What if hearts aren't showing above any players?
Check that the mod is actually loaded in your mods folder and that you're not running the base Player Health Indicators mod at the same time. Also make sure you're looking directly at other players, not just in their general direction.
Does this mod work on single-player worlds?
This mod is designed for multiplayer servers where you need to track other players' health. On single-player, you'd only see hearts above yourself, which isn't useful.
Will this mod affect my FPS or performance?
The mod adds minimal overhead since it only renders heart displays above visible players. Performance impact should be negligible on most systems.
Can invisible players see my health hearts if I'm wearing armor?
Yes. If you're invisible but wearing armor, other players with this mod installed will see your health hearts floating above you, revealing your position and condition.
Do the health hearts show through walls and blocks?
