Create Natural-Looking Overgrown Terrain and Ruins

Using World Generation

This mod automatically adds plants to terrain during world creation, making landscapes look wild and overgrown. Rocky hills, beaches, icy areas, and cliffs now feature natural vegetation.

Finding Overgrown Areas

Explore your world to discover:

  • Flowers and grass growing on stone cliffs and mountains
  • Plants covering cave entrances and ravine walls
  • Vegetation on sandy beaches and desert rocks
  • Greenery on icy terrain and frozen waterfalls

Building with Overgrown Aesthetics

1. Gather plants from naturally overgrown terrain

2. Place them on stone bricks, netherrack, or other hard blocks around your builds

3. Create ruined structures by mixing plants with damaged or aged blocks

4. Use plants on vertical surfaces to suggest decay and abandonment

Customizing Generation

Edit placeable-common.toml to control which blocks receive plants during world generation. Use the worldgen_blacklist to prevent plants on specific materials while keeping others wild.
