Pl3x Markers Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I mark my base on the map?
Place a lodestone at each corner of your base, then place a banner of the same color on top of each lodestone. Use an anvil to give all the banners the exact same name, and the mod will automatically connect them into a marked region on your web map.
Why aren't my markers showing up on Pl3xMap?
Make sure your lodestones and banners have matching colors and names—the mod won't connect them otherwise. If markers still don't appear, try running `/pl3xmap reload` to refresh the map and update the marker configuration.
Do portals get marked automatically?
Yes, every Nether Portal and End Portal is tracked automatically as soon as someone travels through it. You don't need to do anything—just use the portal and it will appear on your web map.
How do I add a text label to the map?
Place a lodestone where you want the marker, then place a written sign on top of it and write your message. The text will appear as a custom marker on your web map.
Can I mark beacons on the map?
Yes, beacons are automatically tracked once you place and activate them. The mod will show their location on the web map so everyone knows where the buffs are available.
Does this mod work with land claim mods?
Yes, if you're using Open Parties and Claims, the mod will automatically display claimed territories on your web map as colored regions.
Can I see custom shops on the map?
If you're using Shopkeepers, the mod will display custom shops on your web map automatically without any extra setup needed.
What happens when lightning strikes?
Lightning strikes are displayed on the map, and the mod tracks player movements between dimensions so you can see where activity is happening.
Can I customize the colors and style of my markers?
Yes, you can use basic colors and text styles on your custom map labels by choosing banner colors and using formatting on your signs.
Do I need to do anything special to track player movement between worlds?
No, the mod automatically tracks players as they move between the Overworld, Nether, and End—no configuration required.
