Warn Teammates About Dangers

Immediate Hazard Alerts

When you spot a threat—lava, a mob, a trap, or unstable terrain—aim at it and ping with the danger or warning option. Your teammates will immediately see the highlighted block and understand they should avoid it or prepare for combat.

Types of Dangers to Ping

Common hazards worth pinging include:

  • Lava pools or lava sources
  • Mobs or spawners
  • Falling sand or gravel
  • Weak floors or missing blocks
  • Trap mechanisms
  • Poisonous or damaging blocks

Coordinating a Response

After pinging a danger, follow up with a ping directing teammates to a safe location or to the tool/item they need to handle the threat. This two-ping sequence—danger + solution—keeps everyone informed and organized.

Persistent Threats

For ongoing hazards in an area your team frequents, consider pinging them multiple times or using chat to mark the location permanently. This helps new team members or players returning to the area understand what to watch for.
