Ping a Block for Your Team

Basic Ping

Aim your crosshair directly at the block you want to highlight, then press your ping key (default: V). A menu will appear with four marking options—choose the one that best describes your intent.

Understanding Ping Types

The four options typically represent different communication needs:

  • Break/Danger: Alert teammates to break a block or warn of hazards
  • Go/Direction: Point out where the team should move or travel
  • Look/Attention: Draw focus to something important nearby
  • Custom/Other: A general-purpose marker for other situations

Select your choice, and the block will light up for all players within range. Only nearby teammates will see it—distant players won't receive the ping, keeping their screen uncluttered.

Ping Range

Your ping is only visible to players standing reasonably close to you. If a teammate doesn't see your ping, they may be too far away. Move closer and ping again, or use chat to communicate the location verbally.
