Configure Hanging Lanterns and Block Properties
Understanding Block Properties
Some blocks have properties that change their behavior or appearance. Picker Upper lets you filter blocks based on these properties using square bracket notation.
Lantern Example
By default, only lanterns sitting on the ground can be picked up: "minecraft:lantern[hanging=false]". Hanging lanterns (those attached to ceilings) are excluded because they're harder to grab.
If you want to allow picking up hanging lanterns too, modify the config to: "minecraft:lantern" (without the property filter).
Other Property Filters
You can apply similar logic to other blocks:
"minecraft:candle[lit=false]"to pick up only unlit candles"minecraft:redstone_torch[lit=true]"for only active redstone torches
Finding Block Properties
Check the Minecraft wiki or use /give commands to see a block's properties. When editing your config, include only the properties you want to restrict—omitting a property means all states are allowed.
