Add Custom Blocks to Your Picker Upper List

Locate Your Server Config File

Find the Picker Upper Mod configuration file on your server. This is typically stored in your server's config folder and named something like pickerupper-config.toml or similar.

Edit the pickUpBlocks List

Open the config file in a text editor. Look for the pickUpBlocks section—this contains all blocks you can currently grab with bare hands.

To add a new block, use its full block identifier. For example:

  • "minecraft:amethyst_bud" for a simple block
  • "minecraft:candle[lit=false]" if the block has properties you want to filter by
  • Use block tags like "#minecraft:flowers" to add entire categories at once

Save and Reload

Save your changes and restart your server or use a reload command if your server supports it. Test by walking up to your new block and attempting to pick it up with an empty hand.

Tips

Check the mod's default list for syntax examples. Blocks that hold inventories (chests, furnaces) are intentionally excluded for safety and will be ignored even if added.
