Pickaxe Effective Reinforced Deepslate Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing this data pack?
No setup is required—the data pack works automatically once loaded into your world. Reinforced deepslate will be mineable with a pickaxe right away.
What pickaxe do I need to mine reinforced deepslate?
Any pickaxe will now break reinforced deepslate, though higher-tier pickaxes (like diamond or netherite) will mine it significantly faster than lower-tier ones.
Does this work in existing worlds or only new ones?
This data pack works in both existing and new worlds—just load it into your world's data pack folder and it will take effect immediately.
Can I use this data pack with other mods?
Yes, this data pack is designed to be lightweight and compatible with most mods, though conflicts are unlikely since it only modifies the pickaxe mineable tag.
Will reinforced deepslate drop when I mine it with a pickaxe?
Yes, reinforced deepslate will drop as a block when mined with a pickaxe, just like normal deepslate.
Does this affect mining speed or only make it possible?
This data pack makes reinforced deepslate mineable with a pickaxe; mining speed still depends on your pickaxe tier and enchantments like Efficiency.
What if reinforced deepslate still won't break with my pickaxe?
Ensure the data pack is enabled in your world settings and appears in the data pack list—if it's disabled or not loaded, the changes won't apply.
Does this data pack change anything else besides reinforced deepslate?
No, this data pack only adds reinforced deepslate to the pickaxe mineable tag and doesn't modify any other blocks, items, or mechanics.
Can I remove this data pack and keep my world?
Yes, you can disable or delete the data pack anytime—your world will remain intact, though reinforced deepslate will revert to being unmineable with pickaxes.
Does this work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, the server administrator can add this data pack to the server's data pack folder, and all players will be able to mine reinforced deepslate with pickaxes.
