How Saplings Drop from Leaves

When a tree falls, its leaves remain connected during the animation and drop items where the canopy lands. Saplings are included in these drops, giving you a reliable way to replant or expand your forest.

Collecting Saplings Efficiently

1. Fell your tree and watch it land completely

2. Head to the area where the leaves settled—this is where saplings will appear

3. Collect all dropped saplings from the landing zone

4. Larger trees with bigger canopies produce more saplings per tree

5. Repeat with multiple trees to gather enough saplings for replanting

Replanting Strategy

After harvesting a forest section, use your collected saplings to replant the cleared area. Once they're tall enough, you can repeat the harvesting process. This creates a sustainable wood farm where you continuously clear mature trees and replant saplings in the same locations. Jungle and dark oak trees produce larger canopies and therefore more saplings per tree, making them ideal for farming operations.
