Physics Trees Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need a special tool to chop trees or does any axe work?
Any axe works, but you can also break the bottom log with your hand if needed. The mod doesn't require crafting special tools—it just changes how trees fall when you break that bottom block.
Why did my tree fall sideways instead of straight down?
Trees fall in the direction they're weighted to tip, which depends on the tree's shape and where you hit it. This is intentional physics behavior that makes each tree fall feel natural rather than always dropping straight down.
Can I stop a tree from falling once I've cut it?
No, once you break the bottom log, the tree will fall. Plan your cuts carefully if you're near structures or other trees you want to keep standing.
What happens to items when a tree falls far away from me?
All drops land exactly where the tree's top hits the ground, so you won't lose items to distance. Walk over to where the tree landed to collect everything.
How do chain reactions work and can I control them?
When a falling tree hits another standing tree, it knocks that one down too, creating a domino effect. You can't control which trees get hit, so space out your cuts if you want to avoid triggering chains.
Do saplings drop from fallen trees the same way as logs?
Yes, saplings drop along with the logs and leaves exactly where the tree lands, making it easy to collect them all in one spot.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, the mod works on both single-player worlds and multiplayer servers without any special setup needed.
Will falling trees damage my buildings or farms?
Trees fall as physical objects and can land on and damage blocks, so be careful when felling trees near your base. Plan your cuts to fell trees away from structures you want to protect.
Can I use this mod with other mods that add custom trees?
The mod works with trees that use standard Minecraft log and leaf blocks, but compatibility with custom trees from other mods depends on how those trees are structured.
Do the falling animations affect my game performance?
The smooth falling animations and physics calculations use some processing power, but the mod is designed to run smoothly on most systems. If you experience lag, try felling fewer trees at once to avoid too many simultaneous falling animations.
