Phazez Remastered Map FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start the map?
From the lobby, read the signs to understand the experiment premise, then interact with the start button to begin as a test subject. You'll receive story dialogue in chat explaining why you're taking these tests.
What's the best way to cross lava gaps?
Walk carefully to the edge of your current platform, aim for the center of the next block, and jump with a short run-up rather than sprinting. Watch the floating red text warnings for hints about jump distances and upcoming hazards.
I keep falling off the wooden logs over water—how do I balance?
Move slowly and deliberately across logs rather than sprinting, as the slippery surface makes fast movement unpredictable. Jump to the next log only when you're centered on the current one.
Are there checkpoints if I fall?
The map respawns you at the start of each room when you fall into hazards, so you won't lose overall progress but will need to retry the current puzzle.
What do the floating red text messages mean?
These are in-world warnings and guidance from the experiment facility—they alert you to upcoming dangers, suggest jump strategies, or provide story context about the room you're entering.
Do I need to read all the signs and dialogue to complete the map?
No, the story dialogue and signs provide lore and context but aren't required to progress; you can skip them and focus purely on parkour if you prefer.
Why does the difficulty jump between wooden and quartz rooms?
The map intentionally escalates challenge as you advance—wooden rooms teach basic jumping, while quartz rooms introduce tighter timing, higher falls, and more complex platforming patterns.
Can I use items like ender pearls or elytra to skip sections?
The map is designed around vanilla parkour mechanics; using flight or teleportation items may break intended progression or cause you to miss story elements, though the map doesn't explicitly prevent it.
The sea lanterns in futuristic rooms are too dim—can I change the lighting?
Adjust your brightness/gamma settings in video options to see the sea lantern-lit areas more clearly, or place temporary torches if the map allows block placement in those sections.
Does this map work in multiplayer?
Yes, multiple players can attempt the map together, though tight parkour sections may be harder to coordinate and only one player needs to complete each room for the group to progress.
