Stop Your Pet From Attacking Other Players

Disable Pet Attacks

If your pet is attacking other players in multiplayer or during PvP situations, you can disable this behavior through the mod's configuration.

1. Navigate to your config/petprotect.json file

2. Locate the prevent_pet_attack option

3. Set it to true to prevent pets from attacking any players

4. Save the file and restart your game

When This Applies

This setting is useful when:

  • Playing on multiplayer servers where accidental pet attacks cause conflict
  • You want your pet to remain passive around other players
  • You're in a cooperative environment and don't want your pet interfering in PvP

Note that when prevent_pet_attack is enabled, your pet will not attack players under any circumstances, even if you're being attacked. If you want more nuanced control, check if your pet type has additional taming or behavior options in your inventory or pet menu.
