Completely Disable Pet Protect Mod Features

Turn Off All Protections

If you want to disable all Pet Protect Mod features while keeping the mod installed, use the global toggle.

1. Open config/petprotect.json

2. Find the prevent_pet_damage option

3. Set it to false

4. Save and restart your game

What Happens

When prevent_pet_damage is disabled:

• All pet protection features stop working
• Pets can be damaged by any source (players, mobs, environment)
• Your pet can be killed like normal Minecraft animals
• Other configuration options are ignored

When to Use This

Disable the mod if:

• You want vanilla Minecraft pet behavior
• You're testing other mods that conflict with pet protection
• You prefer the challenge of protecting your pet manually
• You want to re-enable specific features later

You can re-enable protections at any time by setting prevent_pet_damage back to true and restarting.
