Keeping a Search Term Active While Switching Between Creative Tabs
The problem this solves
Normally, browsing the Building Blocks tab and then coming back to search means your old query is gone. With this mod installed, the search term survives tab switching, so you can compare items across categories without retyping.
Step-by-step
1. Open the creative inventory and go to the search tab.
2. Enter the term you want to keep referencing.
3. Click over to another tab to grab something unrelated — the search box keeps your term in memory.
4. Return to the search tab. The same term and its results are shown again.
Practical workflow tips
- Keep one search term as your "anchor" for a build (for example the main block family you are placing) and dip into other tabs for tools, redstone, or decoration.
- When you are done with that anchor, overwrite the search box with a new term; the mod updates what it remembers.
- This is especially handy when a build uses items spread across several tabs, since you no longer lose your filter each time you leave search.
Note
The mod only remembers the search text — it does not change which items exist or how tabs are sorted. If a term returns nothing, that is the normal inventory filter behaving as usual.
