Fixing a Search Term That Will Not Clear or Keeps Coming Back

Understanding the behaviour

This mod is designed to restore your last search term whenever you open the search tab. So if a term "keeps coming back," that is the intended feature working — it is remembering the last thing you typed, not a bug.

How to change or clear it

1. Open the creative inventory and go to the search tab.

2. Click into the search box and delete the existing text, or select it and type a replacement.

3. The mod now remembers the new (or empty) state as your latest search.

4. Close and reopen the inventory to confirm the search tab reflects what you last entered.

If something seems stuck

  • Make sure you are actually editing the search box and not just looking at restored results — the term only updates when you change the text.
  • If the restored term feels wrong, retype the term you want once; the mod stores the most recent query, so the old one is replaced.
  • Confirm the mod is loaded alongside your other inventory mods. If another mod also manages the creative search box, they can conflict, and the term may not restore as expected.

Key point

There is no separate "clear memory" button — your latest typed search is always what gets restored, so simply typing what you want next is the way to control it.
