Pepsi’s Auto Harvest Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I set up auto harvest for the first time?
Place a chest, then place an item frame on the block directly above it, and put any hoe in the item frame. Crops in a 9×9 area centered on the chest will automatically harvest and drop into it.
What crops does this mod work with?
The mod supports wheat, carrots, potatoes, melons, pumpkins, and several other standard farmable crops. Check the mod description for the complete list of supported crop types.
Do I need a specific type of hoe?
No, any hoe works—wood, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite. The mod respects durability and won't break the hoe, so you can use enchanted hoes like those with Unbreaking.
Can I use Fortune on my hoe to get more drops?
Yes, Fortune and other enchantments on the hoe work with auto harvest, so you'll get bonus drops just like manual harvesting.
How big is the harvest area?
The mod harvests crops in a 9×9 area centered on the chest, so it covers a fairly large farm automatically.
What does waterlogging the chest do?
Waterlogging the chest enables auto-fertilization, which automatically replants crops after they're harvested so your farm runs continuously without manual replanting.
Why aren't my crops being harvested?
Check that the hoe is in the item frame directly above the chest, the crops are fully mature, and they're within the 9×9 harvest area. Make sure the chest has space for items.
Can I use multiple chests or harvesters in one farm?
Yes, you can set up multiple chest-and-hoe pairs in the same farm, but make sure their 9×9 areas don't overlap or conflict with each other.
Does the hoe lose durability?
The hoe's durability is respected by the mod, meaning it will degrade over time, but it won't break—you'll need to repair or replace it when durability gets low.
Does this mod work with other farming mods?
The mod works with standard Minecraft crops; compatibility with other mods depends on whether those mods use vanilla crop mechanics—check the troubleshooting guide if you have issues.
