How to Add Global Datapacks with Paxi

Where the Datapacks Go

Paxi loads datapacks from a folder inside your Minecraft config directory, not from the world's own datapacks folder. Open .minecraft/config/paxi/datapacks and drop your datapack folders or .zip files directly in there. Each datapack must keep its normal structure, meaning a valid pack.mcmeta at its root, or the game will ignore it.

Applying and Verifying

Once the files are in place, launch the game and create a new world. Paxi applies these packs automatically, so you should not need to enable anything manually. To confirm a pack is active, run the vanilla command /datapack list in-game. Your Paxi packs should appear in the enabled list alongside any world-specific packs.

Loading Order

If two datapacks touch the same files, the one loaded later usually wins. Paxi reads datapack_load_order.json in the paxi folder to decide the sequence. Edit that file to list your datapack names in the order you want them applied. Keep the names matching the folder or zip filenames exactly, since a mismatch means Paxi cannot place that pack in the order.

Notes

Because these packs are global, they load for every new world you generate. Existing worlds created before you added the packs may not pick them up automatically, so test on a fresh world when verifying changes.
