How to Make Endermen Stop Picking Up and Placing Blocks

The Griefing Problem

Endermen picking up grass, dirt, gravel, and other blocks is the main reason players install this mod. Even with teleporting disabled, an enderman that still grabs blocks will slowly shred your terrain and leave floating holes. The block-manipulation toggle is separate from the teleport toggle, so you may need to change both.

Disabling Block Pickup and Placement

1. Locate the mod's config file in your config folder.

2. Open it in a text editor.

3. Find the option that governs whether endermen can pick up or place blocks. It is typically a boolean such as pickupBlocks, griefing, or blockManipulation.

4. Set it to disabled and save.

5. Restart the game.

Once disabled, endermen will no longer remove blocks from the world or place held blocks elsewhere. This protects builds, farms, and natural terrain without needing to light up or fence every area.

Protecting Existing Damage

Turning the setting off does not restore blocks already removed. Any holes left behind stay as they are, so you may want to patch them manually or use a separate tool to repair terrain. After the change, new endermen will behave, and you can safely build in the End or the Overworld without endermen rearranging your surroundings.
