Collect Leaves and Watch Them Drift to Water

How Leaf Particles Work

When you break leaf blocks, Particular Reforged spawns floating leaf particles that drift downward realistically. If these particles touch water, they create tiny ripples on the surface, adding life to your world.

Creating Leaf Particle Displays

1. Break leaf blocks from trees—vanilla trees and modded trees from Traverse, Regions Unexplored, and Wilder Wild all produce particles.

2. Position near water to see the ripple effect when leaves land on the surface.

3. Break multiple leaves at once for a more dramatic falling effect.

4. Use in builds by creating tree farms or decorative areas above water features.

Best Practices

  • Break leaves slowly to watch individual particles drift—rapid breaking creates a cascade effect.
  • Position water features (rivers, ponds, fountains) beneath trees for maximum visual impact.
  • Combine with natural terrain to create forest scenes where leaf particles enhance immersion.
  • Modded trees from supported mods will also produce leaf particles, so experiment with different tree types.
  • The effect is most visible during daytime or with adequate lighting.
