Panorandom Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on Panorandom?
Panorandom activates automatically once installed and enabled in your mod loader. There are no configuration steps needed—as long as the mod is loaded and you have multiple resource packs with panoramas active, the panorama will start cycling randomly each time you return to the main menu.
Why is my panorama still only showing one image?
Make sure you have at least two resource packs with panorama images both enabled in your resource pack menu. If only one pack contains a panorama, there's nothing to randomize—Panorandom needs multiple panorama sources to work.
Does Panorandom work with vanilla panoramas?
Yes. Vanilla Minecraft's default panoramas count as one source, so if you have custom panorama packs installed alongside vanilla, Panorandom will randomly select from all of them including the vanilla set.
How often does the panorama change?
The panorama is randomly selected each time you load the main menu screen, so it will change whenever you restart the game or return to the menu from a world.
Can I make Panorandom cycle through panoramas instead of random?
Panorandom is designed for random selection only. If you want to cycle through panoramas in order, you would need to manually reorder your resource packs or use a different approach.
Do I need to restart my game after adding a new panorama pack?
Yes, you need to fully restart Minecraft for the mod to recognize newly added or enabled resource packs. Simply reloading the resource pack list in-game won't work.
Will Panorandom slow down my game?
No, Panorandom only affects the main menu panorama selection and has no impact on in-game performance or load times.
What if a resource pack doesn't have a panorama image?
Packs without panorama images are simply ignored by Panorandom—the mod only considers packs that actually contain a panorama file and won't cause errors if some packs lack one.
Can I create my own panorama pack to use with Panorandom?
Yes, you can create a custom resource pack containing panorama images and enable it alongside other packs. Panorandom will include your custom panorama in the random selection pool.
Does the mod work with Fabric, Forge, or both?
Panorandom is available for multiple mod loaders, but check the mod's download page to confirm which versions are supported for your setup.
