How to Make Custom Modded Trees Fall with Panda's Falling Trees

Check the Log and Leaves Tags First

Panda's Falling Trees decides whether a tree should collapse by checking the block tags for logs and leaves. If your modded tree's log or leaf block is not registered in the standard log and leaves tags, the tree will not fall even though the mod is installed. Open your mod's data files or use a tag-viewing tool in-game to confirm whether the log and leaf blocks appear in the relevant tags. Many mods already add their blocks to these tags, so test by cutting a tree before changing anything.

Add Blocks Through the Config

If the tree still behaves like a normal vanilla tree, you need to add the missing blocks manually. Open the mod's config file, which is generated in your Minecraft config folder after the first launch. Look for the sections that list extra log blocks and extra leaf blocks. Add the registry names of the modded log and leaf blocks exactly as they appear in the game, one per line or entry depending on the config format. Save the file and restart the game so the config reloads. After restarting, chop the lowest log of the tree. If both the log and the matching leaves are recognized, the whole tree should collapse instead of leaving floating logs. If it still does not work, double-check spelling and make sure you added both the log and the leaf block, since the mod needs both to identify a tree.
