Customize Fire Overlay Appearance During Burning

Adjust Fire Visual Effects

When your character catches fire, Minecraft displays animated flames around the screen edges. Overlay Tweaks allows you to reposition and fade these effects to suit your preference.

Steps

1. Access your mod configuration menu

2. Find the Effect Overlays or Fire Overlay settings

3. Locate the fire overlay height option and adjust it to move the flames higher or lower on your screen

4. Find the opacity slider for the fire overlay

5. Reduce the opacity value to make the flames more transparent, or increase it for a more prominent effect

6. Save and test your changes in-game by taking fire damage or standing in flames

Result

The fire overlay will now appear exactly where you want it with your preferred visibility level. This is especially useful if the default flames obstruct important UI elements or if you find them too distracting during combat.
