Use Overlay Lib with Multiple Information Mods

Running Multiple Overlay Mods Together

Overlay Lib is designed to support multiple information mods simultaneously. This lets you layer different types of data—like light levels, ore locations, and chunk boundaries—all at once.

Setup for Multiple Overlays

1. Install Overlay Lib as your base dependency

2. Add your information mods: Install each overlay mod you want (they'll all recognize Overlay Lib is present)

3. Launch the game: All mods should load without conflicts

4. Enable overlays selectively: Use each mod's keybind or settings menu to toggle individual overlays on and off

5. Adjust transparency or colors in individual mod settings if overlays overlap confusingly

Performance Considerations

Overlay Lib's caching system means rendering multiple overlays is more efficient than if each mod tried to draw independently. However, having many overlays active simultaneously will still impact performance more than using one.

Toggling Overlays

You don't need to restart your game to enable or disable overlays. Most information mods allow real-time toggling through keybinds or menus, so you can switch between different views as needed while exploring.
