How to Find Overhauled Village Structures Using the Locate Command
Using /locate to Find Villages and Outposts
The Overhauled Village Mod structures are registered like vanilla structures, so the /locate command works on them. Open chat and type /locate structure followed by a space, then start typing the structure name — autocomplete will show you the valid IDs. Because the mod replaces and expands the vanilla village and pillager outpost pools, the IDs you'll typically use are the vanilla ones (minecraft:village_plains, minecraft:pillager_outpost, and so on), which now point to the mod's redesigned builds.
If autocomplete doesn't suggest anything, you may need to enable cheats in your world or run the command from a command block or with operator permissions.
What to Expect When You Arrive
Once the command returns coordinates, travel there and look for a settlement that matches the surrounding biome — a jungle village will look different from a taiga or savanna one, and outposts are styled to fit their environment too. Because the mod uses vanilla loot tables plus some custom ones, chests inside these structures can contain food and armor in addition to the usual loot. Bring a bed and supplies if you plan to explore several in one trip, since structures can be spread far apart.
