How to Stop Overflowing Bars From Clashing With Other HUD Mods

Identify the overlap first

Overflowing Bars exists specifically to replace the pile of separate health, armor and toughness overlay mods, so the most common conflict is running it alongside one of those. If you see doubled hearts, two armor rows, or a toughness number in two places, you have a redundant mod still active. The fix is to decide which mod owns each element and disable the duplicate.

Resolving the conflict

1. Open your mod list and look for anything that also draws health, armor, or armor toughness bars or numbers.

2. Disable the overlapping feature in the other mod, or remove that mod entirely, so only Overflowing Bars controls those bars.

3. If the other mod is one you want to keep for unrelated features, check its own config for a toggle to turn off its health/armor rendering.

4. Restart or reload so the change takes effect, then check the HUD.

Fine-tuning placement

If the clash is positional rather than duplicated, use Overflowing Bars' own options. The toughness display can be moved to the left, which resolves most collisions with food-bar-adjacent elements. Because Overflowing Bars keeps to just the vanilla base color plus orange and light blue, it stays visually compact, so once duplicates are gone the HUD should read cleanly. If a number still looks wrong, verify you are reading the stacked-layer count and not a leftover value from the disabled mod.
